Alice Rolfe is a Bristol based artist and surface designer. She produces

Alice grew up in Bristol, living just behind the much-loved Gloucester Road. Achieving a distinction during her Foundation year at UWE, she felt encouraged to continue on with her artistic passion and gained a First at Wimbledon School of Art, 2007. Finishing with an MA from Kingston, she spent 10 years studying Fine Art, Sculpture and Print, teaching and exhibiting in and around London and Europe. Drawing is Alice’s passion, so moving on from the conceptual world she came back home to Bristol and set up a few artistic businesses. The first being Rolfe and Wills - a contemporary surface pattern and design company for homewares. With a focus on interesting colour combinations and a clean line, her drawings and designs are vibrant, modern and fresh.
Other than Rolfe and Wills, and Alice Rolfe Illustration, the third is 'Throw' an online stoneware and ceramic mug shop - you can find the beautiful mugs here.
And finally a bricks and mortar shop called Paper Plane on Gloucester Road, Bristol. Here i stock over 50 local designer-makers work. You can find it's website here.
All designs are hand drawn and then developed and made into products in her studio in Easton, Bristol.
The environment is important to Alice. All her coasters and placemats are made from FSC certified Eucalyptus. The cards are FSC certified, and the prints are made from recycled card. Her cellos are made from biodegradable starch, and the bubble wrap that protects the mugs are also biodegradable.
